Happy Friday! This week's recipe is a patriotic delight in the spirit of this weekends holiday, Independence Day, courtesy of CSR Sonya. Not only will it make a great addition to your Fourth of July BBQ, but it's easy and can be a healthy dessert option too. Speaking of the holiday, just a reminder that our office will be closed Monday in observance but we'll be back here and in the office on Tuesday! Without further delay, on to the recipe!
What you need:
4 cups blueberries
4 cups pitted cherries
4 cups sliced strawberries
1 large tub of cool whip
What to do:
In a large trifle or glass bowl, layer fruit along the bottom. Cover the fruit with a layer of cool whip. Repeat until you have used all of the fruit, saving enough cool whip for the final layer. If you would like to turn this berry delight into a truly delicious dessert, add sliced pound or angel food cake to your layers. Refrigerate until you're ready to serve. It's as easy as that!
Again, we will be closed on Monday but we'll see you back here on Tuesday. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July!
